The Modern Orthodontist has closed: care continues at Portland Orthodontic Group
An important update from The Modern Orthodontist
Starting in November, Dr. Jennifer Crowe and the Portland Orthodontic Group team will continue your care at their North Portland office. You won’t be starting over: your records and treatment information transfer with you.
Dr. Schnepper made the difficult decision to step back from practice to focus on health and family, and the Vancouver office closed at the end of October.
“TMO has always been about more than moving teeth. It has been about the relationships built with our patients and families over many years. I am confident Dr. Crowe and the Portland Orthodontic Group will take good care of you through this transition.”Dr. Schnepper
Ongoing care resumes at Portland Orthodontic Group in November. We will transfer patient records, schedules and systems.
The team will reach out to schedule your first visit at POG. You’re also welcome to call or text 360.260.5113 or request an appointment online.
Your first visit is a regular treatment visit, so your care keeps moving.
We’re still available for emergency care during the transition. Contact us the same way you always have: call or text 360.260.5113 or email info@themodernorthodontist.com.
The TMO phone number will keep working. Call or text 360.260.5113, or email info@themodernorthodontist.com.

POG also has a West Side office, but ongoing care for TMO patients is at POG North. The practice has been in North Portland for more than 20 years and cares for patients from both Vancouver and Portland.
Your records and treatment information transfer with you. The team is coordinating the transfer of records and ongoing treatment so your care picks up where it left off.

Nothing you need to do. You’ll keep using the same app and system you use now.

No. You’ll see some familiar faces from the TMO team working alongside the Portland Orthodontic Group team, and the doctors want to learn what matters to you, what’s been working and any concerns you have.
If you have questions about your plan, progress or timeline, ask for extra doctor time at your visit. They’ll make time to talk it through with you.
Care at Portland Orthodontic Group is led by Dr. Jennifer Crowe, and the doctors work together in caring for patients:

Yes, that’s your choice. If you’d prefer to continue care elsewhere, contact us as soon as possible with the name of the orthodontic office you’ve chosen, and we’ll coordinate the transfer of your records.
Your financial account will be reviewed using the standard orthodontic transfer calculation, which accounts for the part of treatment already completed, to determine any balance or refund.
If you’re not sure yet, you don’t need to decide today. We’re happy to talk through your options.
Please connect them with POG North at (503) 289-1992 or info@smileforreal.com. The team is coordinating records transfer and ongoing treatment, including active treatment, observation and retention.
